It rained a fair amount, and its hard to get a good picture of two people in the rain. I thought the look on my face was pretty funny, so this one made the cut.

The tide pools were amazing and teeming with life (both orange AND purple star fish!).

Much of the time we weren't hiking on sand, but on black and gray polished stones.

This was our campsite one night. All of the logs in the picture were rearranged overnight by the tide.

Just a picture to give you the idea of how varied in color the stones on the beach can be.

Another look out from our campsite.

Kelp washed up on the beach. The bulbous part keeps the kelp floating near the surface.

Craig forgot to mention -- Christine was EXTREMELY happy to be wearing her Seattle Sombrero so close to Seattle. Made the rain well worth it. :)
