Pete's Shoes

We bolted through Nevada, reluctantly stayed in Vegas for a night, and then headed for the LA area. En route we saw this bizarre tree along the highway in the desert. Apparently its the place where old shoes end up - in the desert. I always thought the dryer ate them like my missing socks.



We did the whirlwind tour of Joshua Tree NP. Very cool place, but I recommend spending more than 40 minutes in the park. What we saw from the car was great.

We eventually descended upon Los Angeles for the wedding. The wedding was a blast. Good friends, belly dancers, the beach, great Mexican food. After the wedding we dropped our car off a very gracious friend's house and flew back to the east coast.
