When he remembered Zion

After Bryce Canyon we headed over to Zion NP. Think Glacier NP without the glaciers, drier, and hot. It is pretty amazing. The day we arrived it was about 106˚ so we headed up the Virgin river and hiked through the canyon.

If you hike long enough in any of the national parks you'll eventually have the place to yourself.

Christine is thinking about heading out onto the knife edge leading to Angel's Landing. Ten years ago I would have been out there in a flash, but the 1,200 ft drop on either side persuaded me to head back. The knife edge is 3-4 ft wide at best.




We then headed to a more sedate canyon and found some great sandstone erosion.
